What's it like to live in Wigston?

How does it compare to the areas around? What are the pros and cons of living here?

  • I lived in wigston most of my life, it all depends on what areas you live in. South Wigston isn't that great in the centre but if you live Fairfield, top end of Lansdowne Grove or nearer to Glen Parva it is ok. Wigston Magna is nicer then South Wigston, except for Boulter Crescent, which is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, but if you live anywhere in Wigston Magna than there, it is usually nice, including The Meadows and Harcourt. There is always a shop nearby and the town centre is good for shopping (except clothes!) there is many frequent buses going through Wigston to town (arriva), also some buses, less frequent (centrebus) to Oadby and Fosse Park. All in all Wigston is a great spot to live.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
