Flood threats to the area?
Why do the flood threat level remain high after only one minor flood that was actually caused by the environment agency and a local council. This was where they diverted a river down a local steam, causing a flood four hours later. The steam has since risen but has not threatened the house in 9 years.

I would suspect that the level remains high for the agency's benefit and not yours as this means that if there were any flooding issues then they would not be held to account.

Have a look on the attached flood risk map on the environment agency map. Any areas highlighted in blue are at risk of flooding.
