I am 56 years old and recently widowed. Would I be able to get any kind of mortgage? I work part time and have no outstanding debts.

  • Personally I can't see why that it would be a problem. If you would like me to recommend a mortgage adviser please email me.

  • As long as you can prove that you will be able to afford the repayments, it shouldn't be a problem.

  • It depends on for how many years the mortgage term you are looking to apply for and how much is the monthly repayments. If you can afford monthly repayments and your circumstances fit into the lenders criteria, yes it is possible to get a mortgage.
