Is a show home built 3 years ago still classed as a 'new build' home?

If no-one has lived in it, then I don't see why not. However, I have seen pre-owned recent builds described as 'new-build', take it this is what you mean...?

As a surveyor, I would class a new build as exactly that, newly built. I suppose if the property has been left empty, you could extend the term but I think it's a bit of a stretch. For example: Is a car which has never been used new if it rolled of the assembly line 2 years ago? Probably not. Thanks.

It depends on why you're asking this question; if it's in relation to a motgage application and LTV then it will depend on the lender, the definition varies across the lenders. If the builder was registered with NHBC then there should still be a 10 year warranty in place
