Thinking about selling to rent back

Although we have not missed any repayments on our mortgage, it is starting to be a bit of a struggle each month financially, we are considering selling & renting back? Is this a good idea?

  • In my experience this is a bad idea as often the company will not offer you a very long tenancy and you could potentially be turfed out of your home after a year. The company could then sell it for a lot more than they paid you. You would probably be better off selling it privately yourself if you really need to.

  • There is new regulations on Sale and Rent Back, and only few companies in the country authorised and able to do them. There are other solutions other than sale and rent back. Send me an email I might have friend who can help you. As she has helped others to sell their properties.
