  • The standard rent to income ratio that most agents work to is 2.5 x the rent per annum. Therefore you would need to earn a minimum of £24,000 to satisfy that criteria. I hope that helps.

  • Hi, I know this has been answered above but may I add that this does depend on the reference criteria of the agent you are renting through. Different agents use different referencing companies so you will need to check with each one but generally it is between 2.5 x - 3 x the rent per annum. Mark
