Short lease mortgage.

Can we get a mortgage if we are 58 and 59? We have a deposit of £30,000 short lease property 11yrs cost £215,000.

  • Hi Annabelle - Yes, it certainly possible albeit with shorter terms. You should find a specialist mortgage broker who would be able to guide you towards the best products.

  • Hello. If the lease is around 11 years no standard (if any) lender will lend on it. Furthermore the £30k deposit won't cut it with any lender on a £215k purchase of what is a risky proposition. Good luck.
