Flat roof to pitched roof.

Have a small outbuilding attached to my detached property which houses a central heating boiler. It has a flat roof. I want to change to a pitched roof, do I need planning permission do do this? I am not increasing the overall floorspace so not sure. Any advice appreciated.

  • I don't think so, but don't know so. Best thing is to take a few pictures of the roof from a few angles and pop down to the local authority. Go to planning department and ask for 5 minutes with the duty planning officer for your part of East Riding, then ask his or her opinion, no cost, but you will know the answer.
