  • Depends on how much you pay for the extension and how big it will be, you could do but there is no guarantee.

  • There have been many people who have made a loss when extending property due to the current market conditions. It will depend on how much the extension costs and how much value it could potentially add, only an estate agent viewing your property and plans could say. Best to get a valuation done and weigh up costs, building tends to go over budget, so bear that in mind if wanting a quick turnover. If you are looking at the long term, then extending could be a good idea, just make sure you don’t overextend on the plot size you have.

  • Agree with previous answers. The one that always adds value is adding another bedroom. (Whether it adds more than the extension, depends what else you do, and what price you pay the builder)
