Would it add any value to my flat if I was to add a shower to the main bathroom, even though I already have one in the ensuite?

I don't think it would add any considerable value, but it might prove to be an extra selling point. A guest/family bathroom with both bath and shower are a plus. I think it depends on the property/price/location, and how much it will cost you to put the shower in. To get a better idea, let an estate agent value your property and give their opinion as to whether you would recoup costs, or indeed make money. A local estate agent will know what their buyers are looking for and what is perhaps not so important. .
