Can you put a conservatory on a leasehold property?

Can you put a conservatory on a leasehold flat, with a lease of 994 years? The garden is divided in half, with the upstairs property. Any answers gratefully received. Kind Regards

  • Firstly check the lease to make sure there are no restrictive covennants which state what you can and cant do, as long as this is fine and you also solely lease the part of the garden on which you intend to errect the conservatory it should be fine. You will also need to get written permission from the freeholder I would advise. Hope this helps
