How easy is it to put gas into a bungalow?
We want to put gas central heating into a bungalow but will have to have the gas pipes brought into the bungalow first. Who do we contact and the costs would help us.

Firstly see if there is gas in the road you live in, how close is it to your home? You can get the gas board to fit the pipe work from the street or you can get a sub contractor to carry out the work, to save the cost you can dig a trench in your garden from your boundary wall to your house where you would like the gas meter to be, some gas companies will supply the gas pipe for free up to your boundary wall, if there is a home to the left of your property with gas and a home to the right with gas, it's just a question of connecting from the pipe outside your property
