Toilet near a kitchen
We have a downstairs toilet which is by the front door, but we wanted to make the entrance hall larger. We were thinking of using a small part the far end of our garage to house the toilet this would mean that you would access the toilet via the kitchen. We are thinking a door from the kitchen into a cloakroom and then toilet would then be a separate little room within the cloakroom. Will having a toilet in this location devalue the house? If so we will keep it where it is.

As long as it complies with building regulations, is done to a professional standard and the toilet doesn't lead directly from the kitchen, I'm sure it would not devalue the house. I would suggest you get a local agent to have a look at it though. They will be honest about your ideas and be able to see what it is you're trying to do. Hope that helps.
