  • A conservatory does add value. My advice would always be to install under floor heating or radiators to a conservatory so it is an all year round extra reception room. If funds allow, go for a glass roof. A cheap conservatory won’t add the same amount of value, but it all comes down to what you can afford and your personal taste.

  • It depends on the cost, the size and so on. It would add aesthetic value and perhaps make the property easier to sell although whether it adds monetary value is another thing.

  • I would think it depends on the size of the house/garden. A conservatory will add good value to a small/medium house with a large garden, as there will still be enough outside space for kids or green-fingered people. But if the garden is small, building a conservatory will make it even smaller which will put off some buyers and so won't add much to the value of the house.-- total novice, answer based on house-hunting experience. :)
