Updating your bathroom and kitchen are always a good option to improve the saleability of your home. However, in this market, any modernisation needs to be sensible. The market has (is slowing down) thus can't assume that you'll get your money back when you sell. If you dont want to make that kind of outlay, simply updating the decorate -- no crazy colours -- could work wonders! Also, a good clear out and declutter can do the trick. Having trecked through a number of flats and home last year, any that looked to have storage issues was a major turnoff.
