  • If the extension was built with consent, you should be able to look on line at the planning history at the local council website. This will tell you when the consent was granted and, generally, there is a 5 year window in which to start the works without having to reapply. You should also be able to look at the building regs application and there should be a completion certificate which will tell you when the work was finished.
