How much can I offer below the asking price in aberdeen?
Before we had to quote above the asking price but that trend is no longer applicable I guess. How much would be the average purchase price?

The only way you can offer less than the asking price in Aberdeen is if it is a Fixed Price property, or has been on the market for a long long time. Aberdeen has one of the most buoyant property markets in the UK so if you are looking at a West End home for instance, you can only offer over, sometimes a lot over. Try outside the city, especially Donside, you might get a bargain and not far from the city.
