Does the turnover have any indication of rate of return on investing in that area?
I need this information in order to make wise investment decisions.

I would say it is a factor, but not the main influcing factor. What sells well .. lets well. Depends if you are buying to sell on on or buy to let out. Either way, try and buy 'tired' property not 'do up a wreck' property. Which ever way you buy, you rate of return will be better. If you are letting out, I would invest time on going round a few letting agents over a period of a few weeks. Decide the one you trust and then go to them and say .. I have £xxx, xxxx, find me some property that will get me a return of x%, you can let them. They will find you the properties they know they can let at a return you are happy with. Everyone is happy
