  • If you search online for "council tax" and your area it should come up. I notice you seem to be looking in Birmingham and so the bands can be found in the link below. You will of course need to look up the band of the property but this can be done easily if you know the property address by searching on the Valuation Office Agency website (www.voa.gov.uk and links back to directgov).

  • When you have identified a property of interest call your local council and give the post code and they will tell you what band. Ask for how much that band is and remember you may qualify for 25% discount if it is single ocupancy. Good luck.
