Are property prices falling further?
We would like to purchase a holiday home in Scotland, is now the right time to get a bargain property, or should we wait a little longer? We love our home and don't need to sell thankfully, but would like to extend the mortgage to cover part cost of holiday home. So second question… Are we looking at interest rates rising and if so, do you think any rises in the next 5 years will be significant? Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

If you can get the property at the right price, anytime is essentially a good time to purchase a property. Interest rates will rise, thats inevitable, however you can never determine exactly how much and when exactly. Its all about getting the property at the right price.
