Is there is a distinct pattern of affluent house prices for properties for those closer to the water and/or those properties with views over water?

  • A wonderful view always comes at a premium, whether that be water, or rolling hills. Take flats built on a marina for instance. The ones with the best views are sought after and come at higher prices than those without the view. Whatever the property type, whether it be a flat, house, holiday home etc, a view over water is priced higher than a similar property without the view. It would certainly make a difference to what most people would be willing to pay.
