  • Well seeing as you wrote this a year ago, values have probably dropped about 10-15% since then. Chichester will always be considered an area of high demand, we didn't see the kind of high rise apartments and mass building that many major towns did, mainly because of the strict building policies implemented by the council here. For instance, building within the city walls is almost impossible. Some properties have retained their values even better than this, not moving at all. Because of Chichester's proximity to the water, houses in Birdham, Del Quay, Itchenor and Wittering have hardly been affected at all.

  • Since you posted this question the market has changed quite dramatically, you should notice the amount of SOLD boards up which is very encouraging. We have also noticed a increase in sales in January and with more first time buyers registering it feels like it could be a good year.
