Road surface needs renewing
My road is unadopted and the surface badly needs repair. Does this adversely affect house prices in the road?

In short yes. There are many factors that can influence the final value of your property. With so many variables it is hard to say anything more but it does depend on the condition of your home, your neighbors and the competition for what you get for the same money in your area, My advice would be to initially search your for simular priced property in your local area and be objective about comparing your property to others. If you are being genuinly objective, ask yourself if the road would indeed put you off? In my experience very few people have the ability to be completley objective about there own property! When it comes to it someone will only pay what it is worth.
