Why are the houses in Beach Road more expensive?
I am buying a house in Beach Road, Caister on Sea, it is more expensive than a similar property in St Julians Road

I would suggest speaking with a local agent to determine the values in certain areas and why some are higher than others.

Don't check with an agent, check it yourself! Currently you cannot rely on asking prices to inform you if house A is 'better' than house B if they are within about 10% of each other pricewise. Some agents are known to set asking prices on the 'high side' and others are more realistic, so asking prices do not always represent what the property is actually 'worth'. If you prefer the more expensive one then that's great - if the cheaper one then even better! When you apply for your mortgage the valuer should highlight if you're paying over the odds - then you may need to back and re-negotiate
