  • Yes Littleborough is an up and coming area with the train station in the heart of the village easy access to work in Manchester, Leeds, Halifax yet with country all around the village the canal with its geese and ducks is a bit of old England and Hollingworth lake less than 1/2 from the village with a walk around it very good for walkers only being 2 1/2 miles it is a great walk and lovely views. in the village you have local shops Butchers, Bakers, Sainsburys and the co-op in fact must shops you need doctors and dentists chemists all in the village centre. ladies boutique style cloths shops and the 20min commute to Manchester for even more choice. It is 5 miles from Rochdale but seems a different world from the Urban town. Peaceful and friendly with lovely places to eat and drink some thing for everyone and Manchester and Leeds for a more adventurous night out. All in all a great buy and the place has never really lost its value, the house prices are now rising due to the easy location of everywhere being 1 mile from the station at the most. Work in the city and come home to peace and country living. :-))
