Why are houses in Northampton and Corby so cheap?

I do not understand why houses in those 2 areas cheaper than all the other ones? And I would like to know what kind of people live there?

  • In terms of Corby the prices are a legacy of the decline in the Steel industry in the 80's. The new railway station makes commuting to London possible and the town great value. Lots of investment in education, and a new town centre means that the town should out-perform the market. Lots of Scots in Corby. Again a legacy of the Steel industry.
