I have a house for sale in N.E. England. I'm not sure of the current market price.

I am enquiring about current house prices for my area as my house has been for sale for 12 months, I've dropped it £10,000 from first valuation. I'm wondering how much more it's going to need adjusting?

  • I would advise you to get a current valuation done by a local estate agent.

  • Hard for me to know the area in depth but the general consensus is the market is stabilising in some areas, The asking price you had might have been inflated from the beginning so dropping down 10K might mean you have just reached property market price, with offers considered you might be asked to drop another 5% to accept an acceptable offer.

  • If your house is in the DL5 region you are looking at a further drop of around 10%. If you had given the precice area I could have ben more help because I have my house up for sale in DL5
