Change in estimate of property

How can I get the estimate on my property updated. It is considerably less than next door even though it has been much improved since I bought it in 2009. I am looking to sell shortly and believe your estimate will limit the price I am able to achieve.

  • You should log in, click on Refine estimate and make full use of the tick boxes to describe the features in your house, list the improvements and how much you spent. Be careful not to under estimate, as that is easily dome. Also make sure you give floor space and outside space measurements, even if a rough guess. Again, try not to under estimate. Make use of the section where you can put your own valuation, give reasons why. Also score the Zoopla estimate by way of the stars underneath to show that you dont think it's accurate. Keep tweaking the details of your home to get nearer to the value you think it should be. Zoopla estimates are only as good as the info owners put into the estimate. I added 4k to my estimate today by adding floor and ground measurements, listing wood flooring, views and a recent spend on maintenance. I also previously listed the cost of the complete renovation of the house in 2006 and subsequent top to bottom decorating and improvements every two years. Hope this helps.
