Property prices rising?

Now that 95% and even 100% mortgages are back, and lending is increasing, do experts see house price rises this year? Reading reports it would seem that prices will be on the rise by next year and continuing to rise thereafter. Some are anticipating rises bringing us back to 2006 levels by 2015, is this realistic? My thoughts are that buyers are still waiting for more price falls, but I don’t see this happening, just more sellers going on the market at higher and higher prices. So is the doom and gloom over? Are we to see house prices rise this year?

  • I think prices will rise slowly. I doubt we will see huge rises this year, or next year. I would take those predictions with a pinch of salt, no one knows for sure. There’s always a group or two which will predict doom or bloom. All I would say is that it is inevitable that prices will rise. We have seen the bottom of the market, I don't think we are completely out of the slump yet, but steady progress will happen from this year I think.

  • They have slowed down now, august 2014 ! I think they will remain the same or even go down a bit as interest rates rise at the beginning of 2015/or end of 2014
