Hi, I am looking for buying in Walthamstow. Would like to have feed back in terms of quality of living in the area and also its potential (development, future projects, properties market value...)

Walthamstow is well situated for links into London. The nearer you buy to the tube/ train will mean the higher demand your property will have as it will appeal well to people who are commuting. There are some very nice ex-warner properties in the area which are very popular with buyers as they are a good size and have small gardens. These seem to rent and sell very well.

It is a cheap and affordable area with excellent public transport links Walthamstow, Blackhorse Road, Wood Street, St James Street train, bus and tube stations. The cost of living is low here given the markets are open 6-7 days a week and there are number of pound and 99p stores and then there are high street shops and an abundance of supermarkets. Real estate prices may experience an uplift from the neighbouring Olympic boroughs. I have to agree that purpose-built ex-warner properties are highly desirable in the area and are usually on nice and wide streets.
