Why are prices so low in Leyton

Why is Leyton so cheap compared to surrounding area's and London as a whole, as the housing stock is very good?

  • The area is quite close to and linked the upper Clapton and lower Clapton area which is known as the murder mile. the rate of gun and knife crime has caused a drop in all aspects not just house prices. there is however an improvement in the area due to closures of known drug dens and pubs/clubs with involvement.

  • Don't worry, the property value in Leyton is sluggish but once people see what it has to offer, watch the prices rise, if you compare where it is and where it's near (Leyton Flats and the Olympic park less then 2 miles away) there is little doubt prices will rise to such a pace it will be too late for the 1st time buyer where as at this moment in time if your earnings are £50.000 pa you can still get a good property near good schools and lots and I mean lots of open land and forest and lakes.
