Do Basement flats rise in value and is there any proof of this?

  • Yes, basement flats do rise in value (but also fall) in line with the rest of the market. However, as there is less demand for basement flats in proportion to ground or first floor flats they are generally 5-15% (depends on the area)cheaper than flats on the ground or upper floors. Good luck.
