Looking for an investment property. What areas of London are poised for high appreciation?

Prefer flat as I do not live in London (less maintenance). Budget around $300k GBP. Plan on renting out.

  • West London - Hayes and Harlington is having a major regeneration; Crossrail, 9 screen Multiplex Cinema, Restaurants, New Asda Superstore, New Costco Warehouse, 20 minutes train journey from Hayes & Harlington station into Paddington, 10 minute drive to Heathrow Airport, major overhaul/regeneration of the town centre, new school - Lake Farm being built, lots of local schools with Academy status, close links to M4, M40, M25. House prices are likely to boom in this area. I unfortunately have my property for sale as I have to move due to my children's schools :(

  • Look at properties that benefit most from the proposed crossrail transport link. The journey time from woolwich will be cut dramatically when crossrail is finished. It will instantly become more attractive relative to other areas. If you want to really snag yourself a bargain consider looking at repossessions or refurbishment properties. Repolist is the uk's largest database of repossession and refurbishment properties. Good luck.
