My property has been on the market for 7 weeks and only 4 viewings

My property went on the market on 24th February and I have only had 4 viewings and no offers. Is this normal at the moment?

  • Is your asking price sensible? London market is doing very well so should have it sold if priced correctly.

  • The answer to your question is; it depends. There's a shortage of properties for sale in London and the south east, where is your property? How many agents have you told about the availability of your property? Do you have good pictures on your property up in the advert? I wonder why you haven't had more than 4 viewings

  • My house is in West London, between Chiswick and Ealing. I don't think it is too expensive as other properties in the area have gone for more than we are asking. We have given up on our estate agent and the contracts ends of Friday. We have are changing to a new agent and will see then. The new agent is marketing a house up the road and they have managed 15 viewings in the last 3 weeks so hoping for better now. House was only on rightmove and not zoopla so not sure if that made a difference. The reason for so few viewings we were told was the upcoming election.

  • I am the same in Bow, don't know what to do. Just changed agent and re-done all photos and description went with bigger agent, more London wide, more windows of opportunity. I have dropped the price to cheaper than a flat as mine is a Freehold in a mews with off street parking all agents say its a bargain. What's all the hype about the London Markets being hot lol. And I know it's not just me as I am watching all the properties in this area and nothing is moving except Let to Buy flats.
