What is price trend of UK houses over past two years?

This does vary region to region so i am only qualified to talk about the Thames Valley/South east area. 2008 we saw property values plummet month on month from April through to the year end, 2009 quarter 1 was stable followed by substantial gains for the remainder of year. 2010 has remained stable with the odd peak and trough which I believe will continue for the next 12 - 18 months and then the roller coaster starts again.
