Are property prices back where they were in 2004?

  • I'd say they were roughly where they were in 2005/6, so a bit higher than 2004. As previously stated, it depends on the area.

  • Very much depends on type of property - some houses in good areas of Leeds are not far from peak but flats are well below - yes 2004/5 is not a bad estimate but some as low as 2002/3 as a bargain/repo and they get snapped up.

  • Very good question. Answer is probably yes in some areas, no in others, but generally very nearly. Flats are nowhere near, units that cost £100k in 2004 are probably worth £60k.
