How can an agent advertise a £40,000 reduction in price and then say they vendors have no intention of accepting an offer of the new listed price?

Surely the practice of stating a massive reduction then the agent saying the vendor has no intention of accepting what is the point in wasting my time?

  • It sounds like bad practice, best to walk away. It could be the agent at fault or the vendor changing their mind and wasting everyone’s time.

  • Yes, you get a few like this. Ignore it, and move on. There are still THOUSANDS of bargains to be had.
