I purchased property from the Council and was repossessed in 1994. Sale price: ? unknown via N & P (sold out to Abbey)? How do I find out sale price?

I purchased property from the Council and was repossessed around 1994? Sale price: ? unknown, as Mortgage via National & Provincial, who disappeared (since discovered, sold out to Abbey). Tried getting info via Abbey Head Office, but they claim not to have a record that goes that far back and Land Registry starts later? Last recorded sale I can find for that property, was in 2002 @ £119,000 - I still have all original documents (mortgage etc) so can quote specific details/date etc - Is there any other way I might source this information?

  • Zoopla should list the sale price. If not, there are other sites.

  • It may prove difficult. They are right about land registry data although no-one can quite explain why. This means sites like Zoopla/nethouseprices etc won't have the data. You might try the land registry site and search the office copy entries (for around a £4 fee) but thats about it I'm afraid
