Estate agents fees on house sale?
How much do estate agents charge for house sale?

Anywhere between 1% and 2% of the final sale price, but only if they find a buyer and you get the money. All agents offer a free appointment to tell you what they do and how much they charge. Ask 3 of them and find out .. what do you have to loose?

Online estate agents take less, some as little as 0.5%. You can also pay upfront and sell your home for as little as a few hundred pounds. Although I wouldn't advise paying money upfront, unless your house will be easy to sell.

Anything from around £1200 to 10% of the value of the property. However, if you have to find the actual fee, read interesting online discussion forums relating to real estate. I have seen a complete list of agent commissions at Plazaestates website, you can Google it out– where you can see a comparison among real estate agents of London.

The charges for estate agents can vary as correctly stated below from 1% - 3% but please note this does not usually include VAT.
You can however find some online agencies who offer this service for a lot less however, the service received can sometimes vary and it is very important to have your home correctly marketed, to obtain the highest price possible.
As an Independent Estate Agent our fees are currently charged at 1% for sole agency and 1.5% for multi-agency, this is quite reasonable and you should be looking for an Estate Agent who would charge these costs, but provide an outstanding service.
I hope this helped.
