  • Hi sheeptim, Japanese Knotweed has been known to affect property values and saleability of a home, mostly because it's really difficult to get rid of. Since the root can grow deep into the ground, it can cause damage to drainage and sometime walls. It's difficult to remove, so anyone who finds knotweed on their property is best off calling in the professionals - dealing with it at home with a DIY solution can be very tricky and with something like this professional advice is the best route. Many thanks, Dan
