Survey report problems

Hi, we agreed to sell our house to a couple, we agreed £185,000. They did a survey and without supplying the report say there is £25k worth of work and also that they now see our house as only being worth £173,000 so there new offer if £147,600. My question is; do they have to supply me with a copy of the surveyor report (coincidentally the surname of the surveyor is the same as the maiden name of the women purchasing our house)?

  • Hi Lee, I smell a rat! They are not obliged to show the report, and you are not obliged to accept their offer! If using an estate agent they need to cut through this for you and find out what is really going on. Hope that helps in anyway. Regards, Jeff.
