How can I rent with pets?
I'm looking for a place to rent but I have a cat. I have been contacting Agents and all said their properties were "No Pets", but I read that no contract can have a No Pet clause as it's consider unfair by Trading Standards and the landlord has to make the decision and give a reason. Can some body help me in what to do? I don't want just to take the cat to the RSPCA as if she was disposable.

Try finding private landlords on gumtree, loot, local papers etc... Some agents specify no pets, although a lot of landlords would accept one well behaved pet. You could even try putting an ad in a paper yourself, looking for a place to rent. In that ad you can explain your situation:- one very well behaved pet, clean tenant, has references etc. Don’t give up your beloved pet if you can help it. Try the website I have added below to see if there are any properties to rent in your area. Best of luck.
