What should I watch out for when buying a Bungalow?

Not lived in a Bungalow before, any tips or advise please?

  • Depends when it was built. Most bungalows werent built until after WW2, so there shouldnt be any major issues with them. Like buying a house, its always wise to do your homework and if you find something you like, as a Chartered Surveyor to look at the property BEFORE you make an offer.. might cost a few hundred quid, but worth it. If you want to have any more opinion, drop me a line via email. i cant do the survey (even though I am surveyor by trade), but I can always give you my personal opinion.   • Look out for stairs... it means you haven't bought a bungalow... Serious answer: Nothing in particular to look out for, but as Christopher says, it's wise to have at least a Homebuyers survey on the property before you purchase. Mark
