We are looking for a bargain i.e. a bungalow under £200,000.
Is this possible? We would not mind decor.

Quite possible to get a 2 bed bungalow in Bitterne or Hythe areas under 200k. Could even look at newer ones in Rownhams although not so hopeful there.

Keep an eye out on Rightmove, also look at property auctions done by Fox and Sons or Goadsby. The autions tend to throw up the bargains which are in need of some TLC

I have a one bedroom bungalow for sale on the edge of the New Forest, Rushington. on the market for £159,950. I have asked the council if it's possible to put another bedroom on the side and does not seem to be a problem. So would still be under £200,000 so yes, it is possible.

It depends on what you call a bargain. If you are looking to drop a price you need to speak to the agent before. Remember that our obligation is to the client. Some times the client may verbally give us their bottom line for a quick sale. We do have many 2 bed bungalows in your budget. Property Auctions can be one source but these are notoriously unpredictable. Visit a couple first to get a feel so not to get carried away. Register your details with Zoopla and Rightmove and they can send you updates to your e-mail. Good luck. Ian
