How much does a mine adit decrease the price of your house?
I thought my house was worth around £80,000. Due to mine adit by the back door, less than 5 meters away, I have been told now it is worth much less. How much less does anyone know how it much takes off the price of a house?

Having a mine shaft in such close proximity to your property makes it much more difficult for someone to get a mortgage. This in affect is what decreases the value of the property because it limits the amount of people that can buy it. If you have a latest copy of your mining report showing the mine shaft then www.unbiasedfinance.com will look at the report, refer it to lenders and try to get you a decision as to whether the property is mortgaable or not. This will give you a strong indication as to the stregth of any valuation on your home.
