Property prices in NW london.

Hi, could anyone tell me if a house that is converted into single rooms for letting is worth more money or less than a family home and would it be harder or easier to sell?

  • It depends where it is: what are the other properties in the area like? In general a family house converted into bedsits is a sign of an area gone down. Conversely, bedisits returning to former glory as large family homes is a sign of gentrification. You need to balance capital value and potential for loss or gain as the area changes against the potential rental income.
