How is to live in Hersham Southdown Road?

I would like to buy a house in Hersham - Southdown Road, which is on my budget but I heard there are ex cancel flats near buy. Do I need to worry?

  • The whole of the longmoor estate, whereSouthdown Road can be found is all authority or ex authority housing. The only thing you have to worry about is your perception of council house tenants or owners. Its fine. My husbands family have lived there since 1949.

  • That estate, along with Field Common on the other side of the reservoir, St Johns and Sandy Lane are not recommended. Southdown is probably the worst alongside Sandy Lane. They are all substantially cheaper than most property in what is a very expensive area and the reason for that becomes clear when you turn onto these roads and estates. If you cannot afford to live closer to the town centre or the station I would suggest you look further down the A3. Transport links back into London are fine.
