Is there a price difference between a detached house and a semi-detached house?

If both properties are identical, is there a price difference between a detached and semi-detached house and what would be the average differential in percentage if there is one? Thanks.

  • Hard to say depending on area and then size of the plot that comes with the semi-detached or detached.

  • Yes, there is a big difference between properties of the same size. Detached houses are much harder to find on the market and demand for them is very high. In the Reading-Wokingham-Bracknell area this can be as much as £30-40k difference between properties of the same size.
