Should be around 1.5 to 2% sole agents, but it depends on the area you are in.

Traditionally estate agents charge between 1 and 2 percent. There are new agencies entering the market offering the same level of service at a much lower fixed fee. New Move (in Crawley) for example offer a full service for a flat fee of £999 +vat on a no sale no fee basis. Tesco have also started a new agency (isold) in Bristol and this too is on a flat fee basis. Also, don't get tied into a lengthy contract with an agent, if they want to tie you in you need to ask yourself why?
