What are the hidden taxes when renting?

I live in the US and would like to move to the UK for a year or two but I am completely ignorant as to what taxes I would have to pay or even what would be considered "high" for a monthly/ weekly rent. Would heat and hot water be included in a typical renting price? What is typically included when renting? Help! Thank you so much!

  I would suggest speaking with a letting agent in the town or area where you are looking to move. They should be able to confirm their costs and anything else you’d need to know.
